Grimpday in cooperation with Rescue 3 Benelux
The Grimpday is an annual contest for height rescue teams. Teams from all over the world go to Namen in Belgium on the 8th of June 2013. During this competition the teams are challanged to solve six scenarios in a race against the clock. The teams are judged on their technical skills and on their speed.
Also this year, several teams take place at the Grimpday. The height rescue team of the fire department Utrecht (VRU) and the 'Red team' of the fire department of Gent are Grimpday participants for years already.
This year, the Grimpday organization appoached Rescue 3 Benelux for a collaboration, Rescue 3 Benelux is asked to supply technical equipment and support. The result is a cooperation with Rescue 3 Benelux who makes the use of material of Rock Exotica and Sterling Rope available for the Grimpday. In addition to technical equipment there will be various instructors from Rescue 3 Benelux during the Grimpday present for technical support for the organization.
