First Aid
Audience:
Aid workers who should be able save lives, but (partly due to the nature of the work) can be confronted with diseases and / or injury and should stabilize them until the emergency services arrive and can take over or until the patient is able to get the necessary medical attention on thereone. Description:
This course first aid the participant is trained to save lives. This means that they are capable of treating a victim in a life-threatening situation with minimal resources.
Knowledge and skills that are covered include: situation analysis, alerting emergency services, opening airway, check breathing and pulse, CPR including AED use, airway obstruct, dealing with unconscious victims, treatment of choking, dealing with shock.
In addition we look at a extensive variety of diseases such as diabetes, allergies, epilepsy, heart and brain diseases, etc. Furthermore, dealing with injuries, including fractures, sprains, bleeding, dislocations, cuts, etc.
