Rescue a colleague from the water

 
Audience:
Employees of environment agency, national waterway agency, industrial companies, military devisions that work in and around swift water, dams, locks or in floodplains. 

Description:

In this training, participants learn to the risks that play an important rol involved in working in (swift) water and how to deal with them. After a theoretical start we look at the use of the right equipment and various safety measures to perform water rescues on (swift) water. It starts with various forms of self-rescue, including defensive and offensive swimming to increase the self-rescue and their own safety. Finally, we look at various ways available and practiced them to preform a rescues from the shore using various aid and rescue resourses. This training is very popular in the UK with the Environment Agency and the Automible association that perform work on weirs / underground  pumping engine and in floodplains.

Certification:
Rescue 3 International

This training is consistent with NFPA 1670 and 1006 standard for awareness level.
