Basic Water Rescue
Audience:
Employees of firefighters, police, ambulance or other emergency services that might be faced with performing a rescue on surface water.
Description:
In this training, participants learn to recognize the dangers that play a major role in water rescue and how to deal with them. After a theoretical starts, we take a look at the proper equipment and safety measures to perform water rescue. This covers various ways of so-called dry rescues, such as the use of reaching tools, throwing lines, inflated fire hose, etc. They then extended to work with so-called wet rescues, such as liberations of the victim, swimming with victims and tethered swimming.
This training is the ideal basic training for every worker who must performed rescue's on flat water such as ponds, lakes, ditches and sand pits.

This training is consistent with NFPA 1670 and 1006 standards for operations level.
