Swiftwater & Flood Rescue Technician | advanced (SRT A)
Audience:
Employees of emergency services that preform extremely technical rescues on swift water, as very difficult/dangerous dams and/or employees involved in search and rescue and/or nighttime operations.
Description:
This training continues on where the training swift water rescue technician 1 stops, where there is plenty of attention for working with the techniques of the training swift water rescue technician 1during night operations. Personal safety, optimum use of lighting and keeping control are major areas of focus here. Also in this training a significant portion of the time we focus on difficult technical rescues. This usually involves the use of rope. This include (vertical) rope techniques in a water environment to perform evacuations and rescue / salvage / searches that otherwise would not be possible. Finally, extensive time is spent on the practical implementation of (nocturnal) searches to give the rescuer a good insight and prepare them for there work.

Successfull completion of the course Swiftwater Rescue Technician (SRT) is a condition.
