Rescue Boat Operator
Employees of fire departments, police, ambulance or other emergency services that need to preform rescue or search and rescue on flat water using a (fast) rescueboat to perform.
Description:
In this training we learning how to use a motorized boat. This means that we spend a lot of time on the water in order to obtain optimum boat control. While driving the boat we pay more attention to various maneuvers such as forward / backward navigation, emergency stop, anchoring, lining up a drowning victum, taking a drowning victum on board, capsize of the boat, man overboard situations, driving with engine failure (paddling) and easy navigation on the water. Also we look at how to be prepared for deployment, which is a good handling and maintenance of materials and how to use a trailer and boat launch.

This training is consistent with NFPA 1670 and 1006 standards for technician level.
Owning a boatmasters certificate I and II recommended.
